The Adaptive Fit System™
How It Works
The Adaptive Fit System™ has three components working together:
1. Adjustable Side Tapes
Located on each hip, the side tapes allow you to tighten or loosen the waistband fit without removing the product.
How to use them:
-
•
Pull the tape toward the front to tighten the waist
-
•
Release and reposition the tape to loosen the waist
-
•
Adjust until the product sits securely without digging into the skin
-
•
The tapes can be adjusted while the product is being worn — no need to remove it first
This is particularly useful for caregivers who need to make quick fit adjustments, and for children whose comfort preferences vary day to day.
2. 360° Stretch Waistband
The waistband stretches fully in every direction — front, back, and sides. This means the product moves with the child's body rather than restricting it.
It sits comfortably whether the child is:
-
•
Sitting in a wheelchair or chair for extended periods
-
•
Active and moving — running, jumping, playing
-
•
Lying down during sleep or rest
-
•
Going through physiotherapy or rehabilitation movement
The stretch waistband also means the product does not dig into the skin at the waist — important for children with sensory sensitivities or skin that is reactive to pressure.
3. Flexible Body-Contouring Fit
The materials throughout the product are soft and flexible rather than rigid. The product follows the body's natural shape rather than holding a fixed shape.
This matters for children with:
-
•
Different body proportions than standard sizing assumes
-
•
Physical disabilities affecting body shape or posture
-
•
Sensory sensitivities to rigid or structured materials
-
•
Higher activity levels that require a product that moves with them

Tips for Caregivers
For children with sensory sensitivities:
Let the child feel the material before putting it on. The top sheet crafted from viscose made from Bamboo is soft — allowing them to feel it first can reduce resistance. Some children respond better to putting the product on while distracted by another activity.
For overnight use:
The product is designed for overnight use. Ensure the side tapes are adjusted snugly — not tight — before sleep to reduce the risk of leakage during extended wear.
For children in wheelchairs:
The 360° waistband and flexible fit are designed with seated posture in mind. Adjust the side tapes with the child in their seated position for the most accurate fit.
For first-time users:
Start with the 10-count Starter Pack. Try the fit over several days before ordering a full pack. Every child's body is different and we want you to feel confident before committing to a larger order.
